This Refund and Cancellation Policy applies to the ZestEat Food Delivery App (Testing Environment).
This version of ZestEat is currently in testing and demonstration mode — all orders, transactions, and payments made here are simulated and not real.
No actual financial transactions or refunds will occur in this environment.
All “orders” placed during testing are dummy transactions created for the purpose of verifying:
Order placement and confirmation flow
Payment gateway integration (test mode)
Notification and delivery logic
Since no real items or money are exchanged, refunds and cancellations are simulated only.
If a test order is “cancelled” or “refunded” during testing:
The system may simulate a refund status for demonstration.
No real money will be transferred to or from any account.
These actions are meant only to test refund flow and APIs.
If you are testing with live payment gateway credentials (e.g., Razorpay, Stripe) for internal QA:
Please ensure you are using small test amounts.
Refunds, if processed, will depend on your payment provider’s sandbox or live policy.
ZestEat (test version) does not hold or manage funds directly.
Test orders can be cancelled anytime within the testing dashboard or mobile app.
In the real version of ZestEat (upon launch), the following logic will apply:
Cancellations before restaurant confirmation → eligible for full refund.
Cancellations after order preparation starts → may not be eligible.
Cancellations after delivery assignment → partial or no refund.
These conditions are currently being evaluated in the testing flow.
Since this app is in testing/demo phase:
ZestEat and its developers are not responsible for any financial loss, transaction issue, or data inconsistency.
All refund/cancellation logs are for testing visualization only.
